About Chris
It is hard to think of Chris without a smile coming across your face. His infectious laugh and uncanny sense of humor would always make you want to stay around for “just one more”. Chris spent all of his life in the town in which he devoted his life to, North Attleboro. In 1989 he became a firefighter, a job that he served with the utmost sacrifice and pride. There was only one thing he was more proud of, his family. Melissa, his wife of 25 years was the love of his life, together they raised two beautiful children Cirsten and Cameren. His family was his greatest treasure. On the morning of March 4, 2019, while clearing snow before leaving for work Chris suffered a massive heart attack which took his precious life. Not only were his family and friends devastated, but the whole community of North Attleboro was in disbelief. The only comfort anyone can take from this tragedy is that Chris lived his life to the absolute fullest. Chris made life a little brighter, happier, and humorous for all who had the pleasure of being in his company,

The purpose of the Christopher J. Cornetta Foundation is to continue the legacy of Christopher Cornetta by supporting his greatest passion, his community. Our mission is to help local organizations and individuals that devote their lives to the well being of others with pride, dedication, love and humor the way Chris lived each day.
